June 2025 Recreation & Community Development Report The Recreation Community Development Coordinator delivered her report and mentioned that some playground equipment previously discussed(stored behind garage yard) is in poor condition. Do we declare it surplus ? There is no current use for the municipality and there is concern of selling or donating that equipment.. Councillor Blank or Maika did not support selling it and there was discussion about a disclaimer to accept as is, the potential liability, the need for legal advice . Mayor Shulist noted that when the equipment was taken down it was in good shape and that council should make it surplus and that it should be the responsibility of whatever organization bids on it to ensure it is safe and he supports reaching out to the Knights of Columbus who had previously reached out or some other community group.
