RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Development and Property Committee recommend Council support the three applications to the Rural Economic Development Grant from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for the redevelopment of the Township of Madawaska Valley website, promotional video and tourism material and the business breakfasts for 2016.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Development and Property Committee recommend Council accept the report of 2015 OHTO Summit Report as information; AND THAT staff be directed to continue with the following four recommendations as per the OHTO Summit: a) Proceed with We Are Tourism conference (grant application submitted in December) to address points 1 to 4 of report. b) Continue developing social media presence, including new platforms such as Instagram – see points 2 and 3 of report. c) Join travel industry blogging association(s) and develop relationship with selected bloggers – point 3 of report. d) Continue to develop unique tourism products to enhance the Visitor experience – point 4 of report.
