Finance and Administration Committee Meeting

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee Meeting Agenda for May 3, 2017 be accepted as amended.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend that Council direct staff to develop a policy regarding security deposits on land development/sub-divisions whereby a letter of credit is the preferred methodology to security; AND THAT if cash is provided in lieu of a letter of credit the interest accrued will remain with the Municipality.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Draft Indemnification By-Law is amended as requested, with clarification from the Municipal Lawyer, Suzanne Hunt and moved to By-Law.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council that Mayor Love formally requests that MPP John Yakabuski represents the Township of Madawaska Valley in his efforts to have Disaster Recovery Assistance Funding declared for the area.

THAT the Meeting enter In-Camera Session at 2:35 p.m. to discuss matters pertaining to "personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees"; advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose; Ontario Municipal Act 2011, c.25, s.239 (2)(b)(f). 1.
