Finance and Administration Committee Meeting

THAT the Finance and Administration Committee Meeting for Tuesday, October 24, 2017 be approved as amended.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council to approve the proposed work plan from Crosstown Construction Inc. to install underground Hydro at 19586 Opeongo Line to 59 Kelly Street (Mad Valley Coffee House).

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council to approve the donation request from the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation - Tree of Lights for the use of The Railway Station on December 1, 2017, in-kind services from the Operations Department for lights repair and installation and snow removal, and that the Municipality provides horse drawn sleigh rides ($600.00).

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council to accommodate Mr. Miller's request for a 50% reduction on the January 24, 2017 ice rental fee.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council that the Remembrance Day Holiday, November 11, 2017 is observed by Municipal Staff of Monday, November 13, 2017. Finance and Administration Committee Meeting - October 24, 2017

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council that Regular Council Meetings continue at 4:00 p.m. until further notice.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council to reimburse Councillor Peplinski for his submitted expenses for attending the Human Rights Tribunal in Ottawa.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council that The Railway Station is staffed on the weekends by students and that the Operations Department continue to maintain the building with snow removal etc. until the end of 2017.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Finance and Administration Committee recommend to Council to direct staff to bring forward the draft job description for an interim facilities assistant, as well as the job description for an interim Recreation and Community Development Coordinator.
