Fire and Protection Committee Meeting

THAT the Fire and Protection Committee Meeting Agenda for Tuesday, June 28, 2016 be approved as presented.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to consider replacing the 1998 Tanker Truck and proceed with the Request For Proposal.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to consider replacing the helmets for the volunteer fire fighters and using the existing helmets as spares AND THAT the Fire Equipment Reserve Fund is used to purchase the replacement helmets.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to approve the appointment of Michael Recoskie as a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the North Station.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to develop a policy for municipal staff to attend fire calls during municipal hours.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to consider the Website Reporting System for non- emergency calls for service.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council that the Municipality respond to the County of Renfrew that the Renfrew County Communications System Study does not meet the needs of the Municipality.

THAT the Meeting recess at 4:14 p.m.

THAT the Meeting return to open session at 4:39 p.m.

THAT the Meeting adjourn at 4:40 p.m.
