Fire and Protection Committee Meeting

THAT the Fire and Protection Committee Agenda for Monday, February 13, 2017 be approved as presented.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to move the purchase of two quick connect backflow preventers to Finance and Administration Committee Budget meeting for further consideration.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend Council direct the Chief Fire Official to further negotiate a heavy extrication agreement with the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to direct staff to obtain the 45 day free trial Who's Responding cell phone system and application and provide a report to Committee once the trial period concludes.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council that staff be directed to develop a multi-year radio replacement plan for an analogue/digital radio communication system and to further discuss purchasing options with other Fire Chiefs.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to appoint Christopher Parisien as a probationary Fire Fighter for the Madawaska Valley Fire Department's South Hall.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to move the proposed budget items to Finance and Administration Committee Budget Meeting for further consideration.

THAT the Meeting return to Open Session at 10:14 a.m.

RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire and Protection Committee recommend to Council to accept the Calls For Service (CFS) Billing Summary Report as presented.

THAT the Meeting adjourn at 10: 15 a.m.
